About Cádiz
Widely considered one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Western Europe, Cádiz sits on a narrow peninsula almost entirely surrounded by the Atlantic, ringed by golden-sand beaches on three sides. Its faded, salt-worn colonial architecture and unhurried plazas give it a distinctly different character from the flashier Costa del Sol resorts nearby, and its recent recognition on global best-destination lists has finally started bringing it the attention it deserves.
