About Valencia
Valencia mixes centuries-old heritage with startling modern architecture, most visibly in the City of Arts and Sciences, a futuristic complex of museums and aquariums built along a dried-up riverbed turned into the Turia Gardens park. As the birthplace of paella, its food scene runs deep, and its long Mediterranean beach makes it one of the few major Spanish cities where you can genuinely combine city life with real beach days. It's also notably more affordable than Barcelona or Madrid.
